2026 – The year of the FIre Horse

A word about 2026

I was lucky enough to take some proper time away over Christmas and New Year. A real break. Space to pause, reset and get a bit of distance from the day-to-day.

I spent time in Cambodia, Vietnam and Singapore. Incredible places, incredible experiences. I’m very aware how fortunate I am to be able to do that and I don’t take it lightly. Stepping out of the usual rhythm always brings perspective, not because something is wrong, but because it’s healthy to look up from the climb once in a while.

While I was travelling, the idea of “New Year” came up a lot, not the calendar one we’re used to, but the Lunar New Year. 2025 was the Year of the Snake, often linked to wisdom, learning and resilience. That resonates. Last year wasn’t easy. It felt more uphill than we would have liked, and at times it demanded stamina, focus and grit. But it was also a year of progress, experience and strengthening muscles we’ll rely on going forward.

Founders don’t often say this out loud, but breaks aren’t indulgent. They’re essential. You can’t lead clearly if you never stop moving.

2026 - less of a 'tall order'!

I’m starting this year feeling refreshed, positive and clear about where we’re heading. Not because the path is suddenly flat, but because the pace feels right and the direction feels strong.

To everyone reading this, clients, partners, collaborators and friends of Challenge, thank you for being part of the journey. I wish you a healthy, successful and energising year ahead.

Here’s to momentum, movement and making good things happen in 2026.
